Soto Solar Espa?a, an independent power producer in Spain is developing the largest solar power station in Spain with an installed capacity of 1GW.

The storage facility will have a capacity of 80MW and rely on lithium nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) batteries.

The system will consist of 20 storage systems with a capacity of 4MW, and the company says it can provide power frequency reserve. Besides, Soto solar works with enag, a Spanish gas supplier á S has signed a strategic agreement to establish green hydrogen production through an on-site hydrogen production plant that will use part of the energy generated by the erasmo project.

The solar power plant is likely to start production in 2023 or 2024, and its power generation capacity will exceed 2000GWH / year, equivalent to the annual consumption of more than 200,000 households, up to 3% of Spain's 2030 national renewable energy power generation target.
