Juwi Shizen Energy is a joint venture established in 2013 which is formed by German project developer Juwi, and Japanese wind and solar power developer Shizen Energy. It is currently in Fukushima to install a 100 MW solar farm for Canadian Solar. The agreement was signed last October. The 186-hectare solar power plant is scheduled to open in the spring of 2023. The "Azuma Kofuji" power plant is expected to generate 110 GWh a year.
Juwi Shizen energy currently has projects under construction with a total installed capacity of more than 300 MW. Recently, the company commissioned the construction of a 54MW solar power plant on the site of a former golf course 100km north of the capital Tokyo.
