As a large power consumer, Hisense promotes energy conservation and emission reduction in the whole factory area. Energy conservation, emission reduction and low-emission manufacturing are the general trend. The government pays more and more attention to environmental protection.

Before the construction of the factories, Hisense has reserved the position of solar power project at the beginning of the factory design in 2014, and the rooftop strength is also considered in the selection of the ceiling. After several years of construction, the coverage rate of solar panels on Hisense’s rooftop area exceeded 90%. After the installation of Raytech double glass modules, the electricity generated and used in air-cooling system will help factory workshop temperature reducing by 3 ℃ to 6 ℃ in summer.

At present, Hisense has invested nearly 65 million RMB to build factory rooftop solar projects. Such projects can bring a profit of 6 million to 7 million RMB per year, including the saved electricity charges and the income from selling to the grid. The designed lifetime of the whole project is 25 years, but it will only about 10 years to recover the cost, then the cash flow in the next years will be purely net income.
