The 117MW solar power plant established by Scatec and Equinor of Norway in San Juan Province of Argentina has been connected to the grid. The solar energy project is part of Renovar's renewable energy bidding plan and has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with Cammesa, the country's power wholesale market management agency. The project started construction in December 2018 and is expected to generate 305 GWh per year, enough to meet the power demand of 80000 households.
