Solar developer NEFIN and Tuas Power Power, have made a joint bid to secure the right to supply 100MWh of "zero carbon power" from Malaysia to Singapore. It also said the intermittent solar energy will be addressed by brown power plants in the initial phase and converted into battery storage in the future. A NEFIN spokesman said the tender was for the supply of 100MWh of clean electricity from Malaysia to Singapore for a two-year pilot period, a successful project, or a project expected to be announced this year and start operations next year.
