Voltalia of France has begun to build a 49.9 MW solar energy project in the UK, and the power generated will be supplied to companies in the city of London. 

According to the power purchase agreement (PPA) signed with the city of London in November 2020, the South farm solar project has signed a 15 year contract. The project is expected to be completed and connected to the grid in 2022.
