Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE), the Polish power grid operator, said this week that the country had accumulated 4.08GW of installed capacity at the end of January. This figure is 2.8GW higher than the cumulative total installed capacity in January 2020.

Renewable energy experts estimate that Poland's solar capacity may reach 5GW by the end of June and 6.3GW by the end of this year. In order to achieve the goal of carbon emission reduction, Poland aims to have 10-16 GW of photovoltaic installed capacity by 2040.
