One of the most welcomed models of Raytech solar modules is the bifacial series, which can generate power from the back of the solar cells, thus bring more electricity-selling income to the clients. Recently, researchers at the Helmholtz National Research Center in Germany have developed an illumination model for deploying bifacial solar panels. They claim that the model will help further reduce the LCOE of large PV projects significantly.
The model proposed is based on Bayesian optimization, which is a simple mathematical formula that can be used to calculate conditional probability and update the existing conclusions according to the new relevant evidence found.
The model considers a range of parameters that may affect the LCOE of solar projects using bifacial solar modules. The parameters include land cost, distance between modules, tilting angle, reflectivity and weather conditions, the scientists said. The German team believes that the existing rules of thumb regarding the optimum distance and tilting angle of solar modules may need to be reconsidered.
In the distant future, with the help of this calculation, LCOE of bifacial solar modules can be further reduced. Raytech will continue to manufacture and deliver our refined solar modules to the clients around the world.
