According to CER, Australia installed an estimated 7.0 GW of renewable energy generation capacity last year. The 7.0GW newly-installed figure is 11% higher than the record level of 6.3 GW set in 2019.

CER's December 2020 quarterly carbon market report (expected to be released at the end of February) shows that the national electricity market (NEM) generated a record 53.6 TWh of electricity, up 16% from the previous year.
